Start with contrast
Choose enough contrast that guests do not blend into the background. If outfits, props or print artwork are already colourful, keep the backdrop simple. Large, clear patterns work better than small details once a group fills the frame.
Check it fits the venue
Our backdrops are 2.4 × 2.4 metres. Allow a clear 3 × 3 metre indoor area for the backdrop, booth, lighting and guests, with at least 2.4 metres of ceiling height. If the room is tight, send a wide photo of the proposed position. Our setup checklist covers the full venue requirements.
Plain or custom?
Use a custom backdrop when a campaign, sponsor or event design needs to appear behind every guest. For most private events, an included fabric backdrop with custom print artwork is simpler and photographs better.
